Notes saved in a blink

The thought you had at 3am, captured before it’s gone.

Type, paste, blink. It’s saved. A no-friction notes app for neurodivergent thinkers, ADHD brains, and anyone whose best ideas evaporate the moment they look away.

Designed for the way busy minds actually work

Most notes apps want you to file, tag, organise, sort. Blinksaved just wants you to capture. Decision fatigue is the enemy of the half-formed thought.

1

Zero friction to start

Open the app, the cursor is already in a blank note. No “new note” button to find. No folder to choose. No template to pick. Just type.

2

Auto-save, always

Stop typing for a moment, it’s saved. Close the tab mid-sentence, it’s saved. The first line of what you wrote becomes the title, automatically.

3

Idle reset

Walk away from your desk. Come back. The page is blank again, ready for the next thought. The note you were writing? Already in your list, untouched.

How it works

From signup to first note in under a minute

No software to install. No browser extension. No account email verification dance. Just a username and a 6-digit PIN.

1

Pick a username

Whatever you like. Lowercase, no spaces. We don’t need your real name, your email, or anything else identifying.

2

Set a PIN

Six digits. Something memorable to you. We send a magic link to your email so you can set it once and never share it.

3

Start typing

The cursor is waiting. Type, paste, dump, scribble. Your first line becomes the title. Auto-saves every few seconds.

4

Come back later

Notes are encrypted at rest, accessible from any device with your username and PIN. No app to install, just a browser.

A look inside

Calm interface, no decoration

Dark mode by default, light mode if you prefer. The whole point is to disappear and let you think.

Why it exists

“The thought you don’t capture in the next ten seconds is gone forever.”

If you have an ADHD brain, or you just think faster than you type, you know this feeling. The half-formed idea, the connection your brain just made, the thing you absolutely must remember to tell someone. Look away for a moment, it’s gone. Open a notes app that wants you to choose a folder and a tag and a title before you can start writing? It’s already gone.

Blinksaved exists because we got tired of losing thoughts to friction. Every design decision in the app is in service of one thing: get the thought into the system before it evaporates.

Then, when you come back to it, the note is there. Encrypted, private, accessible from any browser with your PIN. No syncing dramas, no cloud-of-clouds account chaos, no “upgrade to premium to use folders”.

A small, independent tool. Built by someone who needed it.

Common questions

Answers

What happens if I forget my PIN?
Tell us your username and we’ll send a magic link to the email you signed up with. From there you can set a new PIN. Note: because your notes are encrypted with your PIN, resetting it means re-entering the new PIN to read them; we never see the plaintext content.
Why only 5MB of storage?
Because plain text notes are tiny. 5MB is around 5,000 pages of typed text, which is more than most people write in years. The cap keeps the service cheap to run, which keeps the price low for everyone. If you genuinely need more, get in touch and we’ll work something out.
Can I import from Apple Notes / Google Keep / Evernote?
Not yet automatically, but you can paste anything in. The app accepts plain text, so a copy-paste from any other notes app works fine. A bulk import tool is on the roadmap.
Is there an iOS or Android app?
Not yet, and probably not for a while. The web app works perfectly on mobile browsers and you can add it to your home screen so it behaves like a native app. Native apps mean app store reviews, store fees, and a much higher monthly price; we’d rather keep it simple.
Who can read my notes?
Only you. Notes are encrypted at rest with AES-256-CBC plus an HMAC integrity check. The encryption key derives from a master key on the server, so technically a server administrator with full access could decrypt them. We don’t do this; we don’t want to. If you’re writing nuclear launch codes, this isn’t the app for you.
What happens to my notes if I cancel?
You keep access for the rest of the month you paid for. After that, your notes are kept in cold storage for 30 days in case you change your mind, then deleted. You can download all your notes as text files at any time before that.
Why “blink”?
Because that’s the speed at which your best ideas vanish. Type the thought, blink, it’s saved. Look away, blink, it’s saved. Walk off and forget the page open, blink, it’s saved.

Stop losing the good thoughts.

Try it free for 24 hours, no signup, no email. If it fits your brain, $3.99 a month keeps your notes forever.
